I would like to have the behavior changed so that one mouse button defaults to Smart Mode when clicking Match. As it is now (in my W10 version at least, from the ms store) no matter which mouse button I click on Match with I get the selection menu. The other thing I mentioned was just that I would like a change to how the Match button works. The only thing I am missing from the Presets is the possibility to set Smart Mode so that I could just run the Preset with the Do Select Files option enabled and it would load the folder with the files I want renamed. Now I have presets that can fix all that I asked. So an addition like this where one could maybe hold CTRL or something when the files are matched to swap between the two formats would be a very welcome addition on my part.ĭidn't even know about those presets, and took me a wee while to find them But sometimes I find instances where I would like to use it to just rename where the files are if they are already in the location they are supposed to be. I for instance use filebot with a format that moves the files from their location to another. The addition I had in mind was an alternative format mode so that we could set an alternative set of formats. Either that or have it default to Smart Mode on left click and then the Menu on right click? However, if the match button could be changed to default to Smart Mode (auto detect) then I am certain I would almost always use the match button. I mostly use right click in the original files section when selecting which mode I select, and as such the match button is almost never used. The change I had in mind was the match button, and as I make it based on my personal preference I must express that I do understand that others might use it otherwise and that my requested change might not suit others preferences. That's a very important feature that is sadly missing from FileBot.I was wondering if I could request a change and an addition to filebot? In essence, what's missing in FileBot is the possibility of individual file editing. Unsurprisingly, it then screamed "Duplicate", and let me no choice but to remove one of the two files from the folder. However, even if that was the case with the files in my BSG folder, FileBot could not distinguish between part 1 and 2, forcing the same title onto both. For example, The pilot episode of Battlestar Galactica was first released as a two part miniseries. However, be advised that it will not cover for alternative releases. Feature for creating text files with sequenced titlesįileBot works like a charm when it comes to regular episode lists.Batch file renaming based on fetched cloud data, with optional formatting.Pretty handy if you intend to create a series subtitles yourself. The list can then be exported as individual text files. You can also generate custom list items in the List section, again provided you know basic scripting concepts. FileBot supports SFV (obviously), MDS, SHA1, SHA2, and EDK2.īeyond that, Filebot lets you analyze a folder's structure and video file metadata in the Filter section. The SFV section lets you create checksums or hash files for your show files. You just need to verify your new account via email and you're good to go with FileBot. The process of creating one is simple though. be advised that here is where you need an OpenSubtitles account. By selecting a preferred language and typing in the name of the series or show, you get a list of results, from which you can select then download multiple items. You can select from several models, or you can try your hand at composing a custom format, provided you know a bit of scripting/programming.įileBot is also a great tool for sourcing subtitles. Right clicking on an episode and selecting Edit Format will let you customize the format in which the episodes are named. From there you can give the Go on renaming your files. Simply click on an option and FileBot will fetch the best matching episode list. That list also contains a link to the program preferences menu, which usually ends up hidden behind the Windows program bar. You will then be presented with a pop-up list of sources. They both do the same thing but in a slightly different manner. You simply drag and drop a folder or individual files into the left-hand box and then either click on Match or on Fetch Data. The primary function of FileBot is video file renaming. Creating an account on OpenSubtitles is highly recommended. Filebot works in close conjunctions with a couple of sites, one of which is. Filebot is a godsend when you're dealing with poorly titled video files, missing subtitles or both. TV show bingers and BitTorrent aficionados will love this one.
